Each student builds a portfolio as they move through Promontory School.  A portfolio is a selection of student work—with reflections—that shows evidence of a student’s progress toward standards, learning targets, and character growth. Students use their portfolios as evidence to demonstrate their readiness to move on to the next level of their education.

For example, when a student graduates from one community to the next (ie: when a 2nd grader graduates and leaves the 1/2 Community to move in to 3rd grade and join the 3/4 Community) he or she completes a "Passage" presentation.

Student portfolios are the anchor for passage presentations where students stand before teachers, parents, other students, or community members and present evidence of their growth and readiness to move forward with their learning.
